Mrs. Clayton, the aged mother of Col. W. L. Clayton and Mr. John Clayton died at the residence of the latter, near Mooresville, last Saturday morning and was buried in Tupelo on Monday, funeral services were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian church by the Rev. T. H. Padgett. She had filled her station in life with christian fidelity and was fully prepared by the summons of the Master. The bereaved relatives have the sympanthy of many friends.
