Edward Loe Dies Following Long Illness
Funeral services for Edward Loe, 70, of Quitman, were held at 2:30 Tuesday in Quitman Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Carpenter, the Rev. Robert Corley and the Rev. Lowell Reichardt officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Loe died early Monday morning in Veteran's Hospital in Alexandria after a long illness. He was a member of Quitman Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosa Lee Loe, Quitman; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Harvey and Mrs. Jessie Mae Cavett, Jonesboro; Mrs. Elsie Mann, Warwick, Georgia; two brothers, Winston Loe and Jimmy Loe, both of Quitman; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Grissom, Mrs. Effie Pardue, and Mrs. Mary Lou Browder, Quitman, three grandchildren.
Nephews served as pallbearers and members of the American Legion, as Honorary Pallbearers.
