Edit M. Hogentogler, 62, of 730 Plain St., Columbia, died at St. Joseph Hospital last evening after being stricken earlier at her home. She was the wife of Harry A. Hogentogler. Mrs. Hogentogler was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Columbia. She also belonged to the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post 2435, Columbia and the Susquehanna Fire Company. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Daisy Nauss Leas. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Austin H. Hogentogler and Barry L. Hogentogler, both of Columbia; four grandchildren; and one brother and two sisters: Elmer Leas and Bertha Carney, both of Columbia; and Dorothy Holt, Warwick, NY. (Lancaster New Era - Dec 14, 1982)
