Mattie B. Ryder Louviere, Age 90, a native and resident of Welsh was entrusted to God's loving care on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. She was Catholic by faith, a parishioner of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She enjoyed being a Catholic Daughter, volunteering, and hunting with her husband, A.W. prior to his death. Mattie loved her family immensely, although she and A.W. had no children, they were blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Sharon Blessington Jane' (Robert), Picayune, MS and Sandi Blessington Mabry (Ron), Houston, TX.; nephew, Howard Leo Blessington (Patricia), Lake Charles, and her late nephew, Terrence W. Blessington, Jr.'s wife, Gloria of Lake Charles.
Mattie is also survived by a huge extended family.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. procession time. The Rosary Recital will be at 10:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Father Alan Trouille will be the Celebrant. The Committal Service will be at the church cemetery.

Mattie was preceded in death by her loving husband, A.W. Louviere; parents, Estezime Ryder and Matilda Fontenot Ryder; sister, Lillie Blessington; brother in law, Terrence W. Blessington, Sr., and a nephew, Terrence W. Blessington, Jr.
