Adolph Stocklin, Pioneer Rancher, Succumbs Here
Adolph Stocklin, pioneer Hill county rancher, and for many years a resident of Havre, died unexpectedly at his home at 736 First street. Mr. Stocklin, though he has not been in excellent health for some time had been around Friday and Saturday attending business downtown as usual. Sunday afternoon he was suddenly seized with a heart attack and died almost immediately.
Adolph Stocklin was born March 3, 1864, in Germany. He has been a resident of Hill county and vicinity for the past 50 years. He had always taken a keen interest in public affairs. He carried this interest into his work as alderman, having served the city in that capacity for several terms.
Surviving him are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. J.D. Locke of Kalispell, Mrs. James Martin of Havre, Mrs. Ralph Newlin of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. C.A. Vesper of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three sons, W.A. Stocklin of Kalispell, A.J. Stocklin, San Francisco, Calif., and A.L. Stocklin of Glasgow.
