GEORGE N. MILLS
DIES IN ST. LOUIS

Former Well Known Quincy Resident
Expires -- Will Be Buried Here
Saturday.

George N. Mills of St. Louis, formerly of Quincy, died in St. Louis yesterday after an illness of two weeks. He will be buried in Quincy on Saturday.

Mr. Mills was for many years a resident of this city, leaving here for St. Louis eighteen years ago. He and his family have often visited here, however, during the years since they moved away, and have kept in touch with Quincy friends and relatives.

He built the houses at Fourteenth and Maine, and at 121 North Fourteenth street, now occupied by Alex Sholl and Duke Schroer, and the family lived in both of them at different times during their residence here.

Mr. Mills was born in Andover, Mass., 71 years ago. He married Miss Lucy Wood, a daughter of the late John Wood, and a granddaughter of Governor Wood. She is a sister of John Wood, Jr., formerly of Quincy, now living in Galesburg. Mrs. Wood survives her husband, with two children, George W. Mills of Chicago, and Lucy M. Mills of St. Louis.
