Margaret, who was better known as Betty, was the daughter of Harry W. and Margaret S. Sinclair Born. Betty was born on September 2, 1920. She married George VanHorn Stevenson in April 1940. They were married in Iona but soon moved to their home on the Delsea Drive in Franklinville. They had six children; Helen Janet Stevenson, Margaret Elizabeth Stevenson, George VanHorn Stevenson, Jr., Susan Jane Stevenson, James Alan Stevenson and Russell John Stevenson. In addition, they were foster parents.

Aunt Betty and Uncle George were very good knitters and they both like to tell a joke of two. Aunt Betty would frequently tell her children, and my siblings to go outside and play in the traffic. My family lived very close to them in the late 1940s. Betty died in June 1991 and was buried in the Cedar Green Cemetery in Clayton.
