Mrs. McFarland was born August 30, 1927, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Richard Hazel and Nancy Smith Hazel. She lived in Hogansville for sixty years before making her home in Aiken in 2007 and was a member of the Hogansville Church of Christ. She was an accomplished artist and her work had been featured at a number of art festivals.
Survivors include her sons, William G. Jackson and his wife, Becky of Aiken, SC and Andy Jackson of Pulaski, VA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl G. Jackson and Edward J. McFarland.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 20, at the Hogansville Church of Christ. Minister Robert Brooks and Minister Brad Crider will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the Hogansville Church of Christ from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
