He graduated from Circleville High School in 1964. He served in the US Navy for 19 years including a tour of duty in Vietnam. Gerald was an electrician all of his life and had worked at Wellsville, N.Y., and West Palm Beach, FL before moving to Summerville. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in N.Y. and S.C. and was active in Boy Scouts.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathyrn McCollum, on Nov. 15, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Clinton Adams, Las Vegas, and Johnnie Adams, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Connie Adams, Colorado Springs, and Amanda Adams, West Palm Beach, FL; a brother, Don Adams, Topeka; two sisters, Virginia "Jenny" Anderson, Topeka, and Georgia Beattie, Holton; several grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
