AYNOR — Albert Thurman Gasque, 76, of the Cool Springs section of Horry County, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Conway Hospital.
He was born in Aynor, a son of the late Albert and Lilly Graham Gasque.
He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and the Gunter's Island Hunting Club.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Horry County Department of Education for 36 years.
Survivors include a brother, L.B. Gasque and his wife, Ada Faye, of Aynor; four sisters, Gladys Jones and her husband, Dowe, and Hazel Lewis and her husband, Lorrell, both of Aynor, Lillie Mae Lewis and her husband, Wesley, of Loris and Nathalee Dixon of Pageland.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Calvin Gasque and Henry Gasque; two sisters, Christine Martin and Eitha Collins; a brother-in-law, Johnny Dixon; and his stepmother, Evelyn Martin Gasque.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Dock Rabon, the Rev. Lamar Squires and the Rev. Paul Alford will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
