Miss Kimmel, who was 81, died Friday at her home, 1623 Park avenue after a lengthy illness.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pratby J. Kimmel, she was born on the family homestead, Linganore Farm, in Frederick county.
She received her nurse's training at University Hospital and did private duty as a registered nurse for many years.
Her great-grandfather, Gen. Anthony Z. Kimmel, was the first grand master of Masons in Maryland.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor K. Hall and Miss Elizabeth M. Kimmel, two nieces and two nephews.
