Rev. Dickie W. Bowe died June 22, 1986, in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. He was pastor of Wills Memorial Church, Chesapeake. He was a retired electrician with 50 years' service at Valley Camp Coal Company and was financial secretary for the UMW at Ward. He was a resident of Shrewsbury and a lifelong resident of the Kanawha Valley. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Girlden Stevens Bowe; two sons; brother, Delmus of Rand.
