Annabelle Barr Carter, age 86, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Mrs. Carter was born on October, 27, 1929 in Hamilton County, IL and was a native of Fairfield, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lala Dale Barr; husband, Warren Eugene Carter; grandchildren, Jake Bush and Rachel Olerud; sisters, Vergene Goin, Vermadelle Haegele, and Marcella Simpson; and brothers, Dale Barr and Eldon Barr.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Murray Mathis and Brother Charles McKnight will officiate. A graveside service will take place Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Annette Olerud and her husband Gilbert of Smyrna, TN and Janie Bush and her husband Tommy of Readyville, TN; sons, Mark Carter and his wife Melanie of Rockvale, TN and Brad Carter of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchild ren; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Mrs. Carter was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She enjoyed playing rook and dominos, along with doing crossword puzzles and crypto quote. Mrs. Carter loved her family and friends and she cherished her time spent with them.
Gil Olerud, Jason Carter, Chad Marlin, Billy Anderson, Garry Smith and Trey Sallee will serve as pallbearers.
