Michael Thomas Brumbaugh, 69, of Kittanning, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at home next to the love of his life.

He was born June 23, 1946 in Kittanning to Lorenzo “Frank” and Frances Floretta (Grev) Brumbaugh.

Michael lived in the area for more than 21 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy, serving in country during the Vietnam War.

He attended the Kittanning Salvation Army.

Michael was the greatest husband, daddy and pop in the universe, taking loving care of his three girls and never leaving his wife’s side.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Elizabeth (Butt) Brumbaugh of Kittanning; two daughters, Melissa M. Hetrick of Ford City and LeAnn Hindman of Kittanning; one granddaughter, Michelle L. Galdoni and fiancé, Corrine Quinn of Ford City; two grandsons, Brandon Murawski of Kittanning and Joshua Beere of Ford City; multiple step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Alexia Murawski of Kittanning; four sisters, Helen Cravener, Louise Schreckengost, Virginia (Corbin) Bowser and Flo (Robert) Bowser, all of Kittanning; one brother, Ronald

“Butch” (Sandra) Brumbaugh of Kittanning; one sister, Kathy (Glenn) Hamrick of Franklin; his best friends, Vicki and Barry Beere of Kittanning; multiple stepchildren; and nine caregivers, Pam, Amanda, Kylie, Katie, Jenna, Lara, Chelsea, Carol and Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Michele Lee Brumbaugh, who was Melissa’s twin sister; one brother, Harry Brumbaugh; one sister, Beulah Bleggi; and one stepson, James Richard Murawski.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning with his nephew, Michael Bowser officiating.

Interment will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to the Oncology Department at ACMH, 1 Nolte Drive, Kittanning, PA 16201 or to the Kittanning Salvation Army, 205 S. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
