He was born Nov. 16, 1905 in Manor Township to Harry F. and Floda Dell (Campbell) Brumbaugh.
Mr. Brumbaugh was a coal miner for Allegheny River Mining Company and Carpenter Town Coal Company.
He was a member of the Salvation Army, Kittanning.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Brumbaugh of Reesedale and Ronald and Michael Brumbaugh both of Kittanning; five daughters, Helen Cravener, Mrs. Donald (Louise) Schrecengost, Mrs. Corbin (Virginia) Bowser and Mrs. Robert (Flo) Bowser all of Kittanning and Mrs. Glenn (Kathy) Hamrick of Franklin; 31 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Etta Hicks of Weedville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Frances F. (Grey) Brumbaugh, who died May 15, 1989; one daughter, Beulah Bleggi; four grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde and Edward Brumbaugh; and three sisters, Martha McKelvey, Gladys Cochran and Zelma Beer.
Funeral services will be held at Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, Kittanning, Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 11 a.m. with Major Leo D. DeFelice of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment will be in the Cochran Cemetery.
