Robert Boyd

Robert was the son of Samuel Lyons Boyd and Jane Gibson. He married Marion Bickett on February 8, 1866 in Sparta, Randolph County, Illinois.

Robert Boyd, Regiment Name 5 Illinois Cavalry. Side Union Company K Soldier's Rank_In Priv. Soldier's Rank_Out Priv. Film Number M539 roll 9. Inlisted in Company K 5th Illinois Cavelry Union Army. Joined regiment in Vicksburg, Mississippi and fought under General Custer at the Yazoo River. Honorable discharge.
