ALBERT BUZZARD DIES AT PICHER
Prominent Quapaw Business Man Was 53---All Sons in Air Corps
All four sons of the late Albert Gerold Buzzard are in the U. S. Army air force, but only one can get hoem to Quapaw to his funeral Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The other three at in Hawaii, South Pacific and Island X.
Albert Gerold Buzzard died at 2 a.m. Today at the Picher hospital. He was born in Seneca, Mo., 53 years ago and been known as a successful hay dealer all his life. For the past 22 years he lived in Quapaw where he was prominently identified with the First Christian church.
Surviving are his wife, Mazie, his four sons, Captain Gerold, U. S. AAF of Indiana; Staff Sgt. Loren, Island X; Sgt. Albert G. Jr., southwest Pacfic; and Cpl. Jack of Hawaii. All are AAF.
Two daughters also survive, Helen and Norma Jean of the home; also a grandson. Charles Buzzard of the home and the deceased's mother, Mrs. Sara Buzzard of Albuquerque, N. M. and three sisters, Mrs. Irma Fowler and Mrs. Nadine LeMaster of Albuquerque, and Mrs. Alta Webster of El Paso.
Pallbearers will be Lew Morris, Roy Bowman, Vernon Anderson, Frank Baker, Leman Hammer and Charlie Green of Quapaw.
The Rev. James Miller, former pastor of the Quapaw Christian church, will officiate at the Sunday funeral services, assisted by the current pastor, Rev. A. B. Boynton.
Burial will be in G. A. R. cemetery. Durnil Funeral Home is in charge.

BUZZARD RITES
Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 o'clock in Quapaw for Albert Garold Buzzard, 53, who died Friday at Picher Hospital.
He was active in the Christian church of Quapaw and the funeral will be at that church with the Rev. James Miller, former pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. A. B. Boynton, present pastor. Burial will be in G. A. R. cemetery.
Two of the Buzzard's four sons are in the service overseas so they will be unable to attend the services. One son, Loren, resided at Quapaw. A third son, Captain Garold, is stationed at Seymour, Ind. He will attend the rites.
