He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, & his brother Eugene Byrd, of Sextons Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman & Leota Byrd, two sons: Jimmy Byrd & Larry Byrd, & the following brothers & sisters: Edgar Byrd, Oliver Byrd, Jesse Byrd, Junior Byrd, Delmus Byrd, Rebecca Allen, Mae Barrett, & Margaret Barrett.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Britton Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Thomas Byrd will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel with Bryan Collett & Landon McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Edwards Cemetery at Sextons Creek (Owsley Co., Ky.).
