LaNette (Curtis) Allen
LaNette (Curtis) Allen, 74, passed away February 2, 2016 in Boise, Idaho, at home surrounded by her loving family. LaNette always finished what she set out to do, today she gracefully finished a chapter of her life where her time and energy was spent loving and nurturing her family while fighting Diabetes, Strokes and Alzheimers. LaNette (Curtis) Allen, only daughter of Blaine Charles Curtis and Amy Golda Murphy Curtis, was born in Salina, Utah and was raised in Aurora, Utah and is preceded in death by her parents, Blaine and Amy and brothers, Chad Curtis and Karl Curtis. LaNette and her Eternal Companion, Gideon Allen of Kanab, Utah, were married 55 years ago and sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. LaNette is survived by her brothers, Bartley K. (Irene) Curtis, Jerry (Kay) Curtis; husband, Gideon Allen; daughters, Paulene (Will) Holland of Killeen, Texas, Janice (Forrest) Benedict of Boise, Idaho, Susanne (Dave) Thames of Meridian, Idaho. 8 grandchildren: Rachael (Nick) Walker, Tiesha (Chris) Anderson, Danielle (Wayne) Ploeckelmann, Tiffany (Aaron) Shearman, Thad (Lauren) Benedict, Emilee (Chris) Wallace, Tabitha (Kyle) Krause, Heather (Adam) McHan. 13 great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Aylee, Isaac, Lucy, Preston, Tommy, Alex, Collin, Daxton, Abby, Piper, Braxton, Ari, and 2 more on the way. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family. LaNette left a lasting impact on her family, as matriarch, talented artist, cook, seamstress. She loved to read and do the family genealogy. Notable accomplishments include church librarian for over 27 years and she served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with her husband in the Boise area. A viewing for the public will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise, 83713. On Saturday, February 6, 2016 a public viewing will be held from 9-10 am followed by a 10 am funeral service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS), 2323 N. Maple Grove Rd., Boise, 83704. Dedication of the Grave will immediately follow the service at Cloverdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
