In December, 1770, Martin Mathias Bitner or Bittner married Eva Margaretha Wiest (Wuest) in the New Holland Trinity Lutheran Church, Earl Township, Lancaster, PA. They were the parents of thirteen children, including their infant daughter who was born on 9 May 1791 in Lebanon County, PA, USA, and died on 26 Sep 1791 in Lebanon County, PA. USA.
On my 4th great-grandfather's cemetery stone at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, PA, USA, his surname is spelled Bitner.
Mathias proudly fought in the American Revolutionary War. I honored him by becoming a member of the Daughters of the American Revolutionary in 2020.
I have linked his children.
