Actor. Born Michael Fedderson, he was best known to television viewers as Steve Elliott on the CBS rural sitcom series "Petticoat Junction" from 1966 to 1970. He was the son of television producer Don Fedderson and started taking singing lessons at age of 14. Soon after taking singing lessons, he started getting singing gigs at various clubs around the country. His early television work included appearances on the television shows "The Donald O'Connor Show" and "The Joey Bishop Show". Besides "Petticoat Junction", he would go on to appear in numerous television shows such as "The Lieutenant", "My Three Sons", "The Beverly Hillbillies", "The Edge of Night", "As the World Turns", "CHiPs", "Vega$", "L.A. Law", and "All My Children". He also made appearances on the theatrical stage during his career. He made two albums during his career and had two hit singles "Silver Dollar" and "One Day at a Time". He was married to his "Petticoat Junction" co-star Linda Kaye Henning (their television characters were also married on the series), from 1968 to 1973. He passed away after a battle with cancer.
