Glynn Victor Purdy, 87, of Coffeeville, died Monday, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. Mr. Purdy was a retired Church of Christ minister after 48 years of service. He was a member of Coffeeville Church of Christ. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Coffeeville Church of Christ with Bro. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will be in Coffeeville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Purdy is survived by his wife, Juanita Pittman Purdy of Coffeeville; a daughter, Sybil Purdy Ballard of Coffeeville; a sister, Ophelia Fly of Water Valley; a grandson, Zane C. Ballard of Coffeeville; two great-grandsons, Alexander Z. Ballard of Grenada and Jeremy K. Ballard of Coffeeville; and a host of other relatives.
