The deceased was born in this city in November 1886. She graduated from the Chillicothe High School. She was married a year ago to Ora Bowen. Until three months ago, they had been living in Wisconsin. They returned to Chillicothe and were intending moving south of the city on a farm when she was taken ill.

The funeral was held from the Byrd home Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. John Frank Smith of Kansas City conducting the services. Burial was made in Edgewood Cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution, February 24, 1909
