Funeral services for Elton Brumley, age 90 a pipeliner of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Archie Haley will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mr. Brumley passed away suddenly Sunday, January 31, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Brumley was a pipeliner and member of Local Union 798 for over 65 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eva Lee Landrum Brumley; his father, William Hoyt Brumley; his mother, Gertrude Elizabeth Walker Brumley; brother, Willie Brumley; brother, Wilton Brumley; sister, Gladys Bradford; sister, Aliece Welch; sister, Vernice Thames; brother, Walter Brumley; and brother, Ruhl Brumley.
He is survived by his son, William R. Brumley of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Pam Brumley of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Becky Brumley of Snyder, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Chris Defee of Oak Grove; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are his nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 1, 2016 between the hours of 4 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
