M. M. Anderson Dies in Night
Marshall Mott* Anderson, 46, well known Bear Poplar merchant, died at 8:30 o'clock last night at Rowan Memorial Hospital here.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning beginning at 11 a.m. from St. Luke's Lutheran church, of which the deceased was a member. Rites will be carried out by Rev. E. K. Body, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Mr. Powell, pastor of Centenary church. Burial will follow in St. Luke's cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was a native of Rowan, son of W. E. Anderson and Vina Childreth Anderson, born Sept. 6, 1893. He had been a resident of Steele Township for the past 27 years.
Survivors include the parents, and the widow, formerly Nannie London.
Six surviving daughters are Mrs. Marvin Graham, and Misses Mary Lou, Kathleen, Margaret, Edith, and Martha, all of Bear Poplar.
Two sons live at Bear Poplar, Leonard and Grady; a third, Marshall, lives at Manning, S.C.
Four sisters and two brothers also survive: Mrs. C. W. London and Mrs. A. M. Bolick, both of Bear Poplar; Mrs. C. M. Johnson of Statesville, and Mrs. J. E. Anderson of Elmwood; H. N. Anderson of Bear Poplar and S. H. Anderson of Kannapolis.
