H.F. Bowman

H.F. Bowman, 65, of 2202 Palm, a Dyess AFB civil service employee, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after entering the hospital Friday morning. Services are pending with Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd.

Born Jan.11, 1910 in Taylor County, he was a lifelong resident of the county. He married Martha Stewart Aug. 5 1935 in Cedar Gap Community. He was a civil service employee at the Dyess AFB golf course and was to have retired effective midnight Friday. He was a member of Sixteenth and Palm Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Theresa Ann Burton of Vallejo, California, and Mrs. Gay Nell Burke of San Jose, California; two sisters Mrs. Vada Straley of 2049 S 18th and Mrs. Nannie Lambert of 2026 Fulton; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
