Nannie Belle Lambert, 95, of Abilene, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St. with Pastor Richard Adkisson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Gap Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in North's Memorial Chapel.

Ms. Lambert was born June 16, 1918 in Cedar Gap, Texas to John and Ada (Dodson) Bowman. She married James Daniel Lambert on May 18, 1935 in Abilene, Texas and celebrated over fifty years of marriage. They moved to Abilene in the 1930's. She was a member of the Oak Street Church of Christ. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She joyously anticipated the weekly sermons. She was a strong and loving person who enjoyed singing hymns. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, James Lambert.

She is survived by her three sons, Mike Lambert and wife Debby of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Terry Lambert of Abilene and Raymond Lambert and wife Lorraine of Payson, Arizona; Ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
