The whole Johann and Kate Neeb family of 10 children, (Johann, Elisabeth, Heinrich, Catharina, Anna, Gertraut, Maria, Carolina, Elisabeth, and Heinrich who died enroute), except Sybilla, immigrated into New York on June 17 1853 on the ship Adelphine (Ancestry New York Passenger list). They traveled to Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin and settled their for a time. The father Johann dies in Herman months later on Oct 27, 1853.

The family eventually moves (between 1860-1870) to Lewiston, Winona, Minnesota and settles there.

Sybilla immigrated a year later on July 25 1854 on the ship Nautilus from Stettin, Germany to New York.
