He served his country in the U.S. Army, serving as an MP and was also a member of the All Army football and boxing teams. He met and married the love of his life, Ann, and together they raised four children. Uel lived most of his life in Erath County and has also resided in Graham. He was always a cowboy at heart and retired after managing a ranch for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Ann of the home; sons, Mike Pearcy and wife Kay of Cleburne and Rick Pearcy and wife Shelly of Mineral Wells; daughters, Sheryl Ranne and husband Mackey of Brady and Donna Garrett and husband Raymond of Graham; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and loving family and friends.
