My first cat. A solid white cat with one blue eye and one green eye, Misty had a very unusual personality. She was a one-person cat, and that one person was not my husband. Misty hated him! She would jump out of room and scratch at my husband, so he would carry a bath robe to block her attacks. The first time she met my husband, she walked up to him and knocked the food off of his fork!
Misty then hated me for marrying my husband. I could no longer pet her much of the time. She no longer wanted to sleep with me. I really missed being able to just sit and cuddle her.
Misty gave all of her love to my mom, who was glad to return that love. They shared a special bond for many years.
More than anyone, Misty loved Spanky. She must have thought Spanky was her mother. When we first got Misty, she tried to nurse off of Spanky. Though Spanky growled and growled, she allowed Misty to try. Later we noticed that Misty adopted a sideways walk that Spanky had. She ate when Spanky did, and the two often slept together. Misty felt a deep loss when Spanky died.
