CARLISLE -- Carry Highland Hardwick, 95, widow of Ben Hardwick, died Monday at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home after a long illness. Services 3 p.m. Thursday at Clark Funeral Home in Moorefield where visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today.
Note: The correct spelling of her given name is "Carrie," as seen in nearly all other records and on her headstone. According to the 1930 census, she had been married 10 years and was age 37 when married (she was not married at time of 1920 census which was enumerated effective January 1).
