Henry C. Hodges, age 72, a resident of Freeport Road, DeFuniak Springs, died Sunday morning in a Pensacola hospital. Mr. Hodges had been of resident of DeFuniak Springs for the past 40 years, and was founder of the Hodges Lumber Company. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Agnes P. Hodges, of DeFuniak Springs, four daughters, Mrs. Jack Donald Adair, Mrs. Granger Bruner, Mrs. Teddy DeShazo, and Mrs. Jackie Harbin, all of DeFuniak Springs, one son, Harold C. (Jerry) Hodges, of DeFuniak Springs, three sisters, Mrs. Herman Brown, of Caryville, Mrs. Otley Johnson, and Mrs. Valerie Williams, both of Chipley, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., from the First Baptist Church, with Reverend Robert Jaye officiating. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery.
