Peggy was born on January 5, 1923 in Liberal, Kansas to Robert W. and Edna Mae
(Niday) Tice.
Mrs. Hacker was a housewife; member of First Christian Church, retired from the
Baptist Regional Health Center, she was a former member of Miami Business
Professional Club; she was an Eastern Star and served as Treasurer, was a part of
the Baptist Hospital Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels Volunteer and FCC’s Women’s Bible
Study Group.
Peggy married Lindley Jennings “LJ” Hacker on May 5, 1984 in Joplin, Missouri; he
preceded her in passing on September 30, 2004.
She was also preceded in passing by her parents Robert and Edna Tice, her sisters
Mabel Mohr and Edith Baker, her brother Robert Lewis Tice, a nephew Robert A Baker
and her grandson Chris Wampler.
Survivors include her three step children, Susie Wampler of Springfield, Linda Pyle
of Neosho and Lindley Hacker Jr. of Joplin, her grandchildren Windie Sturges, Joshua
Terrell, Andrea Cullers, Heather Henson and Chrystal Yarnell along with fifteen
great grandchildren.
Peggy’s Wishes were to not have a visitation, there will be come and go viewing
hours at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami on Sunday,
January 24, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at Grand Army of the Republic
Cemetery in Miami with Reverend Rodney Peters officiating.
