Mrs. Lucy Olivia Catchings

Mrs. Lucy Olivia Catchings, 80, of Waco died Saturday at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Waco Memorial Park, the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating.

Mrs. Catchings was born Feb. 5, 1907, in Bateman. She was married to James Frank Catchings in 1926; he died in 1969.

The couple had lived in Waco since 1945. She was a member of Service Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Guendolyn Griggs of Waco; two sons, James W. Catchings of Waco and Billy Wayne Catchings of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family has designated the American Cancer Society, Community Hospice of Waco or Haven Manor Nursing Home for memorials.
