She was previously a guest at Wyoming Valley Manor.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Nov. 4, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Emma Zechman Banks. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the former Wyoming Valley Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its Womens Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E.; son, Carl F.; seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a son, Howard J., Wilkes-Barre; brother, Rev. William, Florida; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Luther M. Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Robert G. Wood, pastor of Albright United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Paul T. Langley Sr., pastor of the Newport United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
