Joseph J. Conti

Joseph J. Conti, 52, 117 South Beaver Street, died in the New Castle Hospital at 8:20 p. m. on Monday of a lingering illness. He was born in New Castle, son of the late Anthony and Madeline (*the name is incorrect - it is Carmela) Conti and was married to the former Mary Lambiase for 23 years. He was employed by the Standard Street Spring Co., where he was a machine operator. He was also a member of St. Margarets M. H. Society.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Conti, and two children, Anthony Conti and Mary Anna Carbone, both of New Castle. He leaves behind a brother, Lawrence Conti of New Castle, and his sisters, Mrs. Nellie Micco, Mrs. Lucy Nero, and Mrs. Rose Feresse and two grandchildren. Services have been arranged for Thursday at 10 a. m. from the Decarbo Funeral Home, Cunningham Ave., at Lutton Street. Interment in St. Vitus Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home any time after 7 p. m. today.
