Harold H. Duffey, 87, of Lebanon, died Tuesday afternoon, January 1, 2002, at Breech Regional Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born November 23, 1914, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Thomas L. Duffey and Clara C. Hause Duffey, who preceded him in death. On May 27, 1944, he married Inez Pearl Agee. Besides owning and operating a cattle farm, he also worked in automobile body repair for several years. He had made his peace with the Lord and attended the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Inez, of the home; seven daughters, Mary Murray and husband, Oneth of Derby, Kansas; Elizabeth Mahan and husband, Glen, of Derby, Kansas; Anna Burgess and husband, Stanley, of Payton, Colorado; Rosalie DeVanney and husband, Marshall of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Mildred Bennett and husband, Richard, of Springfield; Bonnie Showler and husband, James, of Lebanon; Deborah Keen and husband, Bradley of Lebanon; two sons, Harold Jr. of Derby, Kansas and Thomas and wife, Theresa, of Derby, Kansas; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services for Harold Hause Duffey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2002, in the Holman-Howe Chapel with the Reverend Dean Rhoades officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery, with Full Military Rites by VFW Post No. 4107, under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
