OBIT: CHRISTIAN KEBLER passed away at the home on Madison St., April 11, aged 91 years. He was born April 12, 1825, in Wurtemburg, Germany. The deceased was married in Germany to Elizabeth Catherine Schlee, in 1849, and to this union eleven children were born. In 1854, Mr. and Mrs. Kebler, his father and sister, and the three oldest children: Christian, John and Adam, came to America" locating at East Lansing. The other children are: Mrs. Christina Goodnoe of Barryton; Martin of Eagle; George, of Barryton; Mrs. Mary Goodrich, deceased; Mrs. R. Lornz, of Lansing; Fred S. and William, of this city; Henry, of Lansing. In 1864, the family moved in the farm north of this city, which is still in their possession. On this farm the father passed away in 1878, and the wife of deceased, in 1899. Mr. Kebler with his son and daughter. moved to the late home on Madison St. in 1912. Funeral services were held yesterday aftemoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Burtch of Detroit officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Niles cemetery.
