Mrs. Estelle Haynes Vaden age 95, of Gordonsville, TN, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Estelle was born December 15, 1920 in Gordonsville, TN, the daughter of the late James Roy Haynes and Millie Mae Cowan.
She married Charles Alvin Vaden on July 30, 1937 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by Three Brothers; James Baxter Haynes, Hubert Huck Haynes, and B.D. Haynes, Son; James B. “Cat” Vaden on December 10, 2014 and Daughter; Vera Mai Vaden.
Mrs. Estelle was a homemaker and loved gardening and cooking. She worked at the Carthage Shirt Factory and Precision Rubber.
Mrs. Vaden is survived by Sons; Glen (Sandra) Vaden of Gordonsville, TN, and Jerry “Redbone” Vaden of Gordonsville, TN. Four Grandchildren; Tony (JoAnna) Vaden of Gordonsville, TN, Travis “Goob” Vaden of Gordonsville, TN, Shane (Lynn) Vaden of Gordonsville, TN, and Dawn (Jermaine) Walker of Hartsville, TN. Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; Amber, Tyler, Justin, Austin, Ashton, Andrew, Charli, Chelsi, Cassi, Caiti, Jay, Keenan, Kane, Drew, and Ava.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Vaden are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2PM with Tony Vaden and Bro. Bill Cowan officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Vaden family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 12Noon until 8PM and again on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of the service at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, the Vaden family requests memorials in Mrs. Estelle’s memory be made to the First Baptist Church, Gordonsville Building Fund.
