James was born March 26, 1939 in Smith County, TN, the son of Estelle Haynes Vaden and the late Charles Avin Vaden. He was also preceded in death by a Sister; Vera Mai Vaden.
James was a 1957 Graduate of Gordonsville High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1964. He was a charter member and retired deacon of First Baptist Church Gordonsville.
Mr. Vaden is survived by his Mother; Estelle Vaden of Gordonsville, TN. Two Sons; Tony (Joanna) Vaden of Gordonsville, TN and Travis “Goob” Vaden of Hickman, TN. Seven Grandchildren: Amber, Charli, Chelsi, Caiti, Cassie, Tyler and Justin Vaden. Two Brothers; Glen (Sandra) Vaden and Jerry “Redbone” Vaden both of Gordonsville, TN.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vaden are scheduled to be conducted 2PM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church Gordonsville. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Vaden family will be held at the Gordonsville First Baptist Church on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM, Friday from 2PM to 8PM, and Saturday from 12 Noon until service time at 2PM.
The Vaden family request that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Gordonsville Building Fund or Gideons International.
