Nancy Barwick Keene Crew, 82, of Metter died Sunday, October 04, 2015, in Statesboro. Born in Canal Point, Florida, the daughter of Eugene Watson and Katherine Harrell Barwick, she moved to Metter in 1977 from Pompano Beach, FL. Nancy graduated from Ochlocknee High School in Ochlocknee, Georgia and was a member of the Ochlocknee Baptist Church. After graduation, her family moved to Pompano Beach, FL where she met and married her first husband, Charles Keene. After rearing their children and Charles' death, she went back home for her Mother's funeral and rekindled her high school romance with Charles Crew, who became her second husband. She retired as bookkeeper from Candler Pharmacy in 1995.

Nancy was preceded in death by her two husbands; her parents; two brothers, Gene Barwick and J.S. Barwick and two younger siblings.

Survivors are two daughters, Chris Keene Jarrell of Metter and Nancy Keene Speel of Gainesville, FL; a son, David Keene of Wilmington Island; a sister, Mary Kate DeWolfe of Pompano Beach, FL; six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 am, at Lake Cemetery with Elder Mike Newman officiating. Visitation will be at funeral time. Pallbearers are Spencer Jarrell, Brian Keene, Ashley Livingston, Richard Flohr, Matthew Jarrell and Jerry Lanier. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
