Myron J. "Mike" Edwards, 93, of Sycamore, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1992, at the DeKalb County Nursing Home.

He was born July 19, 1898, in Lee, the son of John and Caroline (Knutson) Edwards. He married Zelda Farver on March 9, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa.

He was employed for Ideal Industries for 25 years. He was a former member of the First Lutheran Church in Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Zelda of Sycamore; two daughters, Gloria Burkart of Sycamore and Ann Mobeck of Genoa; four grandchildren, Kim (Mark) Olson of Rochelle, Kylene Mobeck of Genoa and Chad (Andrea) Mobeck, stationed in Germany; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Andrew and Jason Allen Mobeck and Lindsey Ann Hawkins; one sister, Clara Wisted of Shabbona and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elmer, Everett and Clifford; and one sister, Lillie Hardy.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Butala-Van Natta Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Schmidt officiating. Burial will be Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
