"Following a brief illness, Frederick Harrison Davison, 75, died at 8:15 am Friday at his home, 1316 Sassafras st. Mr Davison, known generally as Fred, was born Jan 18, 1868, at Bradleytown, the son of James F and Lucinda Matthews Davison. He had lived for 30 years in Franklin, retiring several years ago, after serving for a long time as motorman for the Citizens Traction Co and bus driver for the Citizens Transit Co. He was a member of the Past Grand association of the IOOF lodge, No 255, and of various Masonic branches including Knights Templar, Myrtle lodge, F&AM and the Lodge of Perfection. He was also a member of the Washington club. Mr Davison was faithful in his affiliation with the First Presbyterian church. His wife, Mrs Cora Dingman Davison, died in 1920 (sic). Surviving are one daughter, Miss Evelyn Rose, at home, and two sisters, Miss Letta L of Franklin, and Mrs Elma Bumpus, Bradleytown. Friends may call at the Boyd N Park Funeral home, where services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday. Rev Dr W H Orr will be in charge, and burial will be in the Franklin cemetery."
