DIED

Michael R. Britt.

Michael Robert Britt, a former resident of Quincy, and, in fact, a native of this city, but for twenty years located in Texas, died at the home of Mrs. Anna Werneth, 1650 Vermont street, Quincy, at 8:30 o'clock this morning.

Mr. Britt had been sick for some time. He came to this city last Monday and went to the home of his wife's mother, Mrs. Werneth, where he was given all the medical aid and care possible, but death had marked him and he passed away, as noted.

Decedent was born August 8, 1865, and was therefore aged 47 years, 11 months and 13 days. He was married in this city and his wife, Mrs. Rose Britt, and three children, Elmer, Genevieve and Robert, survive him, as do also two sisters, Mrs. Tom Tushaus, of Quincy, and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Malley, of Gainesville, Texas. He was a member of the Catholic church, of the Knights of Columbus and of the Woodmen of the World, and at the time of his death held an important position in the service of the Santa Fe railroad at Gainesville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at St. Peter's church, and interment will follow in St. Peter's cemetery.
