Mr. Kenneth "Ken" Ray Childers
May 3, 1932 - January 9, 2016

Kenneth Ray Childers, 83 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Paris. Mr. Childers was born Mar 3, 1932 in Lamar to Mr. Claude and Macy (Selby) Childers. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and gardening; he was a deacon at the Woodland Baptist Church and worked for Chevron Oil Company for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marguerite “Rita” Childers; three brothers, Wayne, Argus, and Carl; and two sisters, Helen and Gail.

Mr. Childers is survived by two sons, Steve Childers of Clarksville, and Mike and Deborah Childers of Johnstown, CO.; four grandchildren, Chris and Megan Childers of Coal Hill, Candice and Jeff Young of Discovery Bay, CA., Shannon and Aaron Gergens of Longmont, CO., and Kristen and Clint Lentz of Aberdeen, NC.; a sister in law, Frances Clayborn of Knoxville; along with 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Childers will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Free Clower officiating. Burial will follow in the Lamar Cemetery with Steve Childers, Mike Childers, Chris Childers, David Clayborn, Darren Childers and Todd Russell serving as pallbearers.
