William E. Rautzhan Sr., 82, of Mill Creek, died Monday at home.
Born in Buck Run, Sept. 30, 1922, he was a son of the late Clarence and Emma Evans Rautzhan.
He was the husband of Martha Sterner Rautzhan.
He was the former owner and operator of Rautzhan's Bar, Mill Creek, for 15 years and was last employed at American Argo, Schuylkill Haven.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Saint Clair Fish and Game, Old Timers Club of Saint Clair, Second Mountain Rod and Gun Club, Seltzer City Gun Club, Sunny Rod and Gun Club, Minersville, and Flat Hill Gun Club.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Lance Rautzhan, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Brian Rautzhan, Pottsville, and Gregory Rautzhan, Orwigsburg; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Jr., in 1994.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. Interment will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
