Atlanta Constitution - 12/13/1913 - Fairburn, Georgia, December 12 - William Peter Duncan, aged 73 years died at his residence 5 miles north of Fairburn Thursday night as a result of a stroke of paralysis suffered some weeks ago.

He was a prosperous and prominent farmer a man of great physical strength and personal industry. He was the father of sixteen children, twelve of whom survive him besides his wife, twenty eight grandhildren and twenty nine great grandchildren, all of whom are well known citizens of Campbell County.

Mr. Duncan leaves a valuable estate in land, money and good securities.

Funeral services will be held at Enon Church by Rev. Paham at 11 am on Saturday and interment will be in Enon Churchyard.

William was born in Coweta County, Georgia and died in Campbell County, Georgia. He was the son of Samuel Wesley Duncan and Fairby Caroline Brock. He was married to Elizabeth Tennant Hopkins. They were married 11/20/1859 and had 16 children.
