Alice Dean, 82, of Jonesboro, formerly of Alicia, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her residence.

Born May 3, 1933 in Cord, daughter of Luther and Nettie Irene Thornton Cossey. She was a member of the Alicia Church of Christ and an excellent seamstress and upholsterer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Weaver Dean; her daughter, Gretta Dean Whitmire; and three brothers, Ray, Alfred, and Harvey Cossey.

Survivors include her daughter, Becky (Tim) Gibson of Jonesboro; her beloved granddaughter, Crystal (Chris) Warden of Hoxie whom she raised; grandchildren, Callie (Adam) Partee, Casey (Brandi) Gibson and Sydney Gibson; two great grandsons, River and Maximus Warden of Hoxie; one great granddaughter, Lindi Beth Partee; two brothers, Luther Cossey Jr. of Jonesboro, and James (Sue) Cossey of Tuckerman; four sisters, Ruby Gilmore of Batesville, Lois (Paul) Hanser of Tipton, Iowa, Doris (Richard) Parker of Lawson, Missouri, and Bonnie (Lehman) Stephens; and many nieces and nephews and several relatives and friends.

Mark Cossey and Tim Gibson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Hanser, Mark Cossey, Wayne Cossey, Ronnie Cossey, Buddy Cossey, Chris Warden, Tim Gibson, and Casey Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Cossey, Kenneth Cossey, Delmas Gilmore, Linnis Gilmore, and Bobby Stephens.
