Jacksonville, FL, US, 32205∼Mrs. Lorena Akins Spivey went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband Earnest Spivey and her oldest son Earnest (Mike) Spivey. She was also predeceased be her beloved sisters Charlotte Forrest and Estelle Carver as well as her brother Olin Akins. She is survived by one sister B. Mary Douglas of Savannah, Georgia and one brother Andrew J. Akins Jr of Florence, Alabama. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives who will miss her dearly. Mrs. Spivey was a substitute teacher as well as classroom volunteer for many years in the Nassau County Florida school system. The people she touched will never forget the impact she had on their lives.
