Virginia was the 2nd child and daughter born to Fred and Julia Shoulders. She was my dad's 1st cousin and for years all we knew was that she had married a man named Cannon.
For years all we knew was that Virginia had married a man named Cannon until my sister, Janet, found this memorial listed about 5 1/2 weeks ago by Ken Ray, thanks Ken. Last night she found other info about her.
At this time all we know about her 1st husband is that in Dec. of 1942 she is listed as Virginia Helen Cannon. We don't know if they had any children of if Mr. Cannon died or they divorced.
By Jul 1947 she is listed as Virginia Helen Rachal and then she found that she and Paul M. Rachal were married on 27 Jun.,1947 in Shreveport, LA. Later she is listed as Virginia H. Rachal in Missouri.
Note: I did a Google search and got lucky and talked to Paul Jr. a while ago and confirmed that all 5 children are alive and well and Theda is indeed his sister. Their mother's name is Ruby (Hebert) Rachal and she died in 1998 and is buried in Shreveport, LA. next to her father, Dupree Leon Hebert. Paul Jr. was born in 1930, Furman abt.1932, Jack abt.1934, Glenn abt,1937, and Theda abt.1944. He said his parent separated in 1945 and were divorced later and his mother never re-married and all the children remained in Louisiana while their father went north and married Virginia. He said that he thought the Virginia had a daughter by Mr. Cannon, but that he never met her.
